“The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious”
---Albert Einstein
I am a second year University of Toronto student pursuing engineering science. My academic interests includes autonomous robots and machine learning. I also like to play sports and watch f1 during my spare time. My motto is never giving up when you believe in it.
I wish to futher explore the tech world building personal technology projects and self-studying the necessary tools for me to accomplish this goal. I also enjoy self-learning and reading books as they are efficient methods to learn.
I start programing in python since grade 9, and I am still learning this language currently. Many of my programs and projects are written in python. Currently I am implementing machine learning using python (pytorch).
I learned the C language through a university course (ESC190). I implemented data structures and searches such as AVL trees and Graphs in C. This course also introduced me to some of the fundamental logics of Neural Networks: gradient descent and backpropagation.
Java is first coding lanuage I learned, and I have used this language to compete in the Canadian Computing Contest. I also wrote the AP computer science in grade 10 using Java.
I self-learned these three lanuages. I first interacted with these three lanuages during my internship at UBTech - a robotics company. I then kept coding in these lanuages during my summer breaks. This website is constructed using my own HTML and CSS code.
I have developed this skill by leading my newly founded high school robotics team as the team captain, and we advanced to the top 16 in VEX provincial competitions. I also improved this skill during my time at SHAD Waterloo 2019, a STEM enrichment summer program.
I devloped this skills during my time as the robotics team captain, as I had to cooperate with other teammates to achieve the goals. I also practice this important skill everyday as I have to work with a team for one of my univeristy courses (Praxis).
I have this ability since a very long time. However, I improved this ability by a large margin during my first year as an engineering sicence student. I have to learn most of the course materials by myself. I also self-learned HTML and CSS, and I made this website thorugh self-learning by watching youtube and surfing the internet.
I am interested in robotics since a very young age. To gain more knowledge about this interesting field, I attended robotics lessons outside of school. To pursue my interest in robotics, I joined the newly founded robotics club in my high school and became the team captain after a year. We faced challenges such as funding issues, organization problems, and teamwork problems. However, we still managed to qualify for Ontario competitions and ranked top 16.
I am fascinated by the power of A.I. I am planning to explore A.I. I on my own before the university courses. I have already learned pytorch thorough reading textbooks, watching online videos and attending online courses. I explored pytorch by writting CNN filters to classify MNIST and CIFAR10 datas. I am planning to learn more about pytorch by building more ML projects. I am also planning to learn tensorflow in the near future.
I am interested in sports and love to excercise. Tennis is my favourite sport, and I have won mutliple medals in tennis competitions. (gold metal for my high school) I also enjoy other sports such as golf, soccer, and basketball. I would love to learn more sports such as surfing and volleyball.
I am interested in cars when I was little, and it fueled me to pursue engineering. I was fascinated by all the working parts that make up a car. As time progress, I am now also interested in the field of new power source cars. Apart from the engineering side, I also enjoy watching racing. (F1 GP is my favorite)
